Albums
Albums are divided into three categories:
Photos in the .jpg format
Videos in the .mpg or .aviformat
Flash movies in the .swf format

In each categories, you can create all sub-categories you want, in wich you can put all albums you wish. You can choose to set this feature off.

Only albums "public" are listed and available for consultation by the guest. Once identified, the member can reach albums corresponding to its level of access.

Thumbnails
Thumbnails are the small photos which allow an outline miniature of the real photo. McGalleryPRO creates them automatically, in the size you defined.
They're then shown on the number of lines and columns you wish. If the album has a description, it will be visible under thumbnails.
Photo albums have a link Slideshow, and if you want, users can submit their own photos.
Finally a search engine allows to sort out photos by the analysis of the author, title or description of every photo. (Idem for videos and Flash movies).

Displaying
The photo is shown here in its real size, or in the defined size for videos and animations. On top, thumbnails of previous and next picture allow to easily navigate in the album. Below are displayed, if they exist:
Title of the photo
Name of the album
Reference
Author
Description
Then the options if they're activated.
Finally the comments of the guests (if activated option).

OPTIONS

News System
Allows Admin to display News on the home page of the gallery. If there is no News to display, nothing is displayed (no "empty" list).

Title and Author
Displays the title and author of each photo under thumbnails
Possible regulations:
- None
- Title.
- Author.
- Both.

Random Image
Displays a random photo on top of the albums list
Possible regulations:
- No
- Photo from "free albums" only.
- Photo from all albums.

Mini Thumbnails
Displays small thumbnails in the albums list
Possible regulations:
- Yes
- No.

Uploads
Allows the guest to submit a photo for the current album. Admin must validate before appearance
Possible regulations:
- No upload
- Upload available for all albums
- Upload only available in a special album.
- Upload only available for logged members, only for albums they have permission.

Comments
Allows the guest to post a comment on every photo / video / flash movie.
Possible regulations:
- No comments
- Validation by the admin before appearance (in this case, admin receives a mail when a comment is posted)
- Immediate appearance for logged members, if not, as before.
- Immediate appearance.

E-cards
Allows the guest to send to a friend a virtual postcard with a photo / video / animation, accompanied with its message. The addressee receive a link towards the card which stays on your server. Sender receives a receipt advice when his/her e-acard is read.
Possible regulations:
- No e-cards
- Authorized only for the "public" albums
- Any albums (in which the sender has access).
