Linux mp3 bitrate shell editor

Уж не знаю существует ли такое в природе сам искал на sourceforge и freshmeat но нифига там не нашел подходящего.

Вообщем.. На сервере есть большое кол-во mp3 с высоким битрейтом (128-192) и надо создать к ним превью файлы с битрейтом где-нибудь 24кбс. Доступ на сервер по SSH. Может кто поможет мне найти софтину для Линуха чтобы справится с задачей? Заранее спасибо.

Попробуй SHOUTcast Linux server (glibc) v1.9.2 (This SHOUTcast server runs on Linux, and is an elf binary compiled with glibc6. SHOUTcast no longer supports older Linux kernels running libc5 or glibc).
У него есть такая опция: The DNAS also has the ability to deliver on-demand content in MP3
format stored in the content/ directory.

The second mode of operation is on-demand content streaming. If you place
.MP3 files in the content directory, SHOUTcast will send these streams to
listeners along with a small amount of protection keeping them from being
able to save the stream as it comes in (unlike web servers).

An example of on-demand streaming and how it works:

Assuming you've installed the DNAS in /usr/local/shoutcast, and have
copied a valid MP3 file named music.mp3 into /usr/local/shoutcast/content,
you would place a URL link on a web page as follows:

<A HREF="http://your.dnas.ip.address:port/content/music.pls">Music</A>

Now, although there is no file called music.pls in the content directory,
when a WEB BROWSER (NOT WINAMP) connects to the DNAS and requests music.pls,
the DNAS will check to make sure a file called music.mp3 exists in the
content directory, and if so, auto-generate a playlist for the browser to
hand off to the player for streaming.

Можно ли указывать битрейт для режима on-demand, я не знаю - не пробовал. Могу поэкспериментировать и сообщить результаты. Сам я использую этот сервер как live-broadcast repeater.

Похоже, что воспроизведение идет только в исходном битрейте.
В RealServer'е такие вещи возможны в режиме симуляции live, on-demand режим я не пробовал, 9-я версия (HELIX) вроде бы позволяет вещать и mp3, но я, опять же, не пробовал.

ShoutCast Server в режиме live-broadcast repeater позволяет файлы с любым битрейтом вещать в нужном тебе битрейте, но тебе, насколько я понял, нужно что-то вроде juke-box, т.е. режим on-demand.
